Sailing Tour Pyefleet Channel

Almost opposite Brightlingsea Creek is the entrance to 'Pyefleet Channel'. It's a lovely and quiet natural anchorage, just behind the Mersea Island, with good holding ground. Saturday nights in high summer can be quite busy, but the further up the creek you anchor, the quieter it is. An ideal spot is near the old oyster shed, where there is enough water to stay afloat at low tide.
